I'm so honored to announce that my short story -- Turkey: Where the Coffee is Strong but the Women are Stronger -- has been shortlisted for SOFRA: A Gathering of Foreign Voices Around the Turkish Table. This creative nonfiction story was a pleasure to write as it centers on four generations of women I admire tremendously: my husband's grandmother, mother, sister, and niece.
