WIPs

  • Bite of the Naga (Paranormal Criminal Investigative Services) (young adult): Anan Tiwari has repressed his anger for years after learning at a young age how his bite, that of an Indian snake-man (a Naga), can be truly lethal. But when his father disappears with his stepmother on a recent case investigating a possible coupe in the Normal (paranormal) realm, and a frantic human mother barges into the PCIS office seeking help to rescue her son from drug-pushing snake-men, Anan and his stepsister and friends must solve their first case in order to find their lost parents. From a suspected kidnapping, to possible theft, to threatened murder, Anan, Moria, Nuri, and Hop solve one clue after another, taking them around D.C., from the National Cryptologic Museum, to a Naga snake pit/bar, to the National Harbor where in the Extended Realm they face a monstrous rebel leader who holds knowledge of their parents hostage. His price for their freedom: the return of a stolen object that will allow him to usurp the upcoming power exchange in the United Normal League. Anan's answer: the release of the anger he has withheld for so long as he discovers that the bite of a mature Naga, while venomous, can also be controlled.

  • From Kismet to Karma: (young adult) A teen must invent some creative solutions to overcome her family's severely distressed financial situation in order to pursue her musical dream.

  • The Foreign Wives Club: (suspense) Three women, from three different countries and cultures, nothing in common but living as foreigners in a city under attack, must work together to save their children's lives…and their very own.

  • Hear the Whistle Blow: (mainstream women's fiction/Southern) Ginger Myrick, a relic from rural North Carolina's self-sufficient past, is forced to delve into locked cupboards of her personal history, and that of her small town, shut away since the final dark days of World War II. Together, she and her granddaughter, KerryAnn, unite to heal their wounded family and prevent an escalating angry backlash against their growing Mid-East community.

  • Bridging the Bosphorus: (mainstream) A cross-cultural marriage in conflict set against the backdrop of the world at war. Can this husband and wife truly unite across the West and Mid-East divide?

  • Conflicts of Myth: How to Use Classical Conflicts to Strengthen Your Contemporary Novel: (nonfiction) A writer’s guide to understanding and using classical myth to deepen storytelling skills.
